Maggie and David were both born into the Southern California beach life but their paths would not cross for many years. Maggie, born in Pasadena, would move to northern California as a young child before making her way to San Diego in college and then to New York in her early 20s. David was born and raised in Rowland Heights, and while he moved several times as a young adult he stayed in the area until his early 30s.

In 2019 they would meet over 2,500 miles away as co-workers at a start up in New York. David was new to the city and didn't know anyone outside of work. He and Maggie set up time to hang out and show David around the area. However, neither of them knew if it was as friends or if there was something more.

That quickly changed, and just a month after David moved to New York, the two become an official couple. As the world changed in 2020, the new couple became part of each other's quarantine pod, navigating a new way of life together and eventually falling in love.

With the opportunity to work remotely, they eventually made their way back to Southern California. With apartments in both Torrance and Long Beach, they began to set down roots in their old/new environment. In November 2022 David bought a townhouse in Torrance, setting the stage for a future home for him, Maggie, and their beloved dog Nico.

After having received the blessing of Maggie's parents, David asked Maggie for her hand in marriage on February 18th, 2023 during a weekend getaway to Temecula, California. Teary eyed, she said yes and made David the luckiest man in the world.
